Description

A new wave of the world’s oldest hatred.

From Eisav to Yishmael, from the Poles to the Palestinians, anti-Semitism is alive and well. As long as Jews have been in exile, they’ve been relentlessly exposed to acts of violence and discrimination. Yet despite fierce anti-Semitism, the existence of a vibrant Jewish people is enduring. While some ascribe this eternity to the tenacity that’s at the core of their spirit, there certainly appear to be signs of the miraculous.
Eisav Hates Yaakov is a timely, poignant book that explores the beginnings and spread of anti-Semitism, from its roots in Jewish history to modern-day college campuses, anti-Israel protests, and a biased press. Renowned educator and author Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Klein provides a comprehensive, meaningful approach to this ongoing phenomenon while maintaining hope for the future of our people.

Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Klein was a mechanech in Toronto for thirty-four years — including twenty-two in hanhalah — before assuming his current position as director of publications for Torah Umesorah. He also heads the Zechor Yemos Olam (Holocaust Education) division of Torah Umesorah, and the Emes Ve’emunah teacher training program for Yesodos Ha’Emunah.

An author of numerous published works and a regular columnist both for Hamodia and Yated, Rabbi Klein is also an accomplished maggid shiur and a sought-after speaker with extensive experience in outreach, adult education, hashkafah, Holocaust studies, and teacher training.
