  • A clear, broad-ranging, graceful commentary
  • Stunning diagrams and charts illustrating the construction of the Third Temple

  • Gilded page headings; ribbon place marker

Hashem gave Ezekiel a dual assignment. He was to present a scathing picture of the sins that were causing the Destruction, and he was to comfort the despondent nation with the assurance that their enemies would be punished and Israel would emerge from exile with unprecedented eminence. Ezekiel prophesied in Babylonia, warning the exiles not to repeat the sins of Jerusalem, but assuring them that Hashem was with them even in exile. His message applies to us, as well, because the key to Israel’s survival and success is Hashem – and, as in Ezekiel’s time, that depends on how sincerely we repent and how loyally we serve Him.

The underlying message of Ezekiel is that destruction will be followed by redemption and the eternal Third Temple. Israel will always survive and thrive again. There may be a Nebuchadnezzar, but there will also be a Messiah. Israel’s enemies will disappear in ignominy. And no matter how far Israel may fail – they always remain the people of Hashem and Hashem remains their God. So ultimately Ezekiel is a Book of hope and inspiration.

This brilliant, elevating work belongs in every Jewish library!

The Book of Isaiah has been subjected to many interpretations that are misleading. ArtScroll you have done great justice and enlightenment to the Book. In our hands is an edition that brings to light many of the difficult prophecies of one of the greatest prophet of all times (only exceeded by Moses Rabbainu). The reader will be fully engrossed with the commentaries that goes deep into the words of the prophet. It is worth every penny!

I love these so much because they add so much depth to my study of scripture.Fair warning though, I don’t always agree with the sages especially coming from a Christian or Messianic perspective but it is good to read nonetheless.I also love getting the Jewish perspective that just brings the entire scriptures to life for me.

I finally added this book to my collection. It is a Book of soaring prophecies, visions of the glorious Messianic future, insights into Jewish history and destiny.. It has inspired and elevated Jews for millennia. Translation is easy to read. Most important is the commentary explaining the main text.

…but i can’t deny this adds a whole lot of credibility to the Isaiah writings. Even if the liberal scholars say that only the first part of Isaiah is authentically attributed to him, then one can’t deny the foundational heritage that was already ingrained in the culture which he talks to was distinctly ummm… Hebrew. I think Christians should have to start by acknowledging what appears to have been taken for granted in that culture, before they then try and writing how they ‘feel’ now days about anything. Thanks Artscroll!
