“This book illustrates clearly and cleverly how halachah deals with actual problems in life. Both the scholar and the student as well as the layman will gain new knowledge and insight from this very well-written book. It belongs in every Jewish library, home and school.”
— Rabbi Berel Wein, Rav, Beit Knesset HaNassi, Rechavia, Jerusalem, and Director, Destiny Foundation

“Rabbi Kaganoff, an esteemed talmid chacham and posek in Jerusalem, has been writing a halachah column for many years, addressing a wide range of contemporary issues such as kashrus, business ethics, buying life insurance … and many, many more. Rabbi Kaganoff leads the reader with gentleness and clarity through all the relevant sources from the Gemara through the most recent teshuvos. His essays are thorough, well-organized and delightful to read. They are also genuinely helpful in the practical, l’maaseh sense. It is a cause for celebration that these essays are being republished in book form so that they may be preserved in a more permanent medium. The attentive reader will gain much — not only in halachah but in understanding the process through which halacha is derived.”
— Rabbi Yitzchok Breitowitz, Maggid shiur, Yeshivas Ohr Somayach, and Rabbi Emeritus, Woodside Synagogue, Silver Spring, Maryland
