Description

The book that you are holding in your hands is not a parashah book. It is a book of inspiration, filled with incredible stories and life applications that are both positively inspiring and refreshingly practical. Enjoy thought-provoking questions, soul-stirring stories, and concrete exercises that will improve your spiritual life—all culled directly from the Torah and its commentaries. Based on the weekly parashah, this sefer includes easily digestible two-minute chapter summaries for those short on time.

Included in Making It Real are stories about…

The Pulitzer Prize–winning war photo in 1969 that exposed the dangers of lashon hara

Rav Aharon Kotler’s daring encounter with a Mafia leader

The Jewish cyclist “Brooklyn Lightning,” who passed up his dream to compete in the Olympics so that he could keep Shabbos

The remarkable kiddush Hashem made by the owner of Klein’s ice cream factory during the blackout of 2003

And much more!

“It will undoubtedly be of great benefit to those who read it and assimilate its messages.”

Rabbi Aharon Feldman

“The unique and dynamic nature of the content has the capacity to inspire and educate readers at all levels of knowledge.”

Rabbi Ben Tzion Shafier

About the author:

Rabbi Moshe Pruzansky, son of Avi and Rivky Pruzansky (nee Rosenberg), grew up in Passaic, New Jersey. He learned in the Mesivta of Passaic, under Rav Meir Rubin. He went on to learn in the Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic, under Rav Meir Stern. He is also a talmid of Yeshiva Daas Chachma, headed by Rabbi Asher Wilheim, with whom he learned b’chavrusa, and Rabbi Meir Sender. Rabbi Pruzansky cherishes the close relationship that he was zocheh to build with all of his roshei yeshiva. He also learned in the largest yeshiva in America, which has over nine thousand students, BMG (Beth Medrash Govoha) in Lakewood, New Jersey.

After he married his wife, Leah Shnidman, he moved to Baltimore and learned in kollel for about five years in Ner Yisroel. While there, he formed a close relationship with his rebbi, Rav Nachum Lansky, as well as a relationship with the rosh yeshiva, Rav Aharon Feldman. Rabbi Pruzansky is currently a board member of Ateres, a recently established school in Baltimore.

The Pruzanskys are blessed with four wonderful children, Talia, Kayla, Mayer, and Ahron. When Rabbi Pruzansky is not learning Torah in the beis midrash or spending time with his family, he works as a nursing home operator. He enjoys utilizing his business acumen and his time in yeshiva to produce divrei Torah that are appealing to both the layman and b’nei yeshiva alike, while always staying true to original Torah sources. He is deeply committed to inspiring Klal Yisrael to come closer to Torah and recognize its sweetness, as well as to showing how Torah can and should be involved in all aspects of life.

In 2019, Rabbi Pruzansky published A Dose of Inspiration through Feldheim Publishers. To date, it has been reprinted twice. The author can be contacted at RabbiMoshePruzansky@gmail.com. He welcomes all feedback and questions.
