Description
No one enters marriage expecting it to end. But when it does, it doesn’t just change your relationship status—it shakes the very foundation of who you are. Identity. Faith. The future you once imagined.
In Divorced, Dr. Shalom Augenbaum—renowned psychotherapist, father, and fellow traveler—invites you to look past the pain and into the deeper truths of marriage, heartbreak, and healing. With honesty, vulnerability, and professional insight, he reshapes the conversation around divorce, uncovering the hidden forces that define relationships, the silent struggles of separation, and the slow, uncertain work of rebuilding.
For those living it, for those supporting someone through it, for those simply trying to understand—this is more than a book; it’s a conversation. A guide to healing. A path to growth. A glimpse of hope.
Because beyond the Mizbeiach’s tears, sacredness remains—and it waits to be reclaimed.
About the author:
Dr. Shalom Augenbaum is a psychotherapist, writer, speaker, and father—though not always in that order. Most days, he’s listening, asking honest questions, and helping people make room for what hurts and what heals. His work draws from Torah, psychology, and a stubborn belief in human resilience, the kind that outlasts self-doubt and despair.
He maintains a private practice in Lakewood, New Jersey, and serves as Clinical Director of Tikvah at Ohel. His first book, Inside-Outside Parenting, was written on a steady drip of compassion and coffee.
