Description

“I have seen Hashem every step of the way. I have realized that the more I look for Him, the more I find Him.”

“Hashem places us in difficult situations for us to be able to grow.”

“Im yirtzeh Hashem, when I cross over this mountain lovingly placed before me by Hashem, I will be able to take these lessons and apply them to my daily life. I give everyone a berachah that whatever issues people are currently going through they should be able to get through them and maintain a close relationship with Hashem.”

From the weekly emails of Yosef Newman

“Our beloved friend, brother, and teacher Yosef Newman, zt”l, was not just another Yosef in the market—no ‘average Joe.’ Yosef was in a constant state of gratitude and praise of the Ribbono shel Olam and lived his life with constant awareness of the zechus of being in the service of Hashem, rejoicing every day. The holy missives, emails, WhatsApp messages, and posts collected in this sefer are an extraordinary expression of Yosef’s unwavering faith, love, prayer, and retzonos.”

About the author:

Yosef Newman grew up in Monsey, New York as the youngest of five children. He attended school at Yeshiva of Spring Valley, Shaarei Torah, and Yeshiva University’s high school for boys, MTA. He spent an inspired two years at Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim, followed by college at YU and Touro. His professional life included running a group home for adults with special needs and working as a project manager in electronics and other fields. But the main things in his life were his avodas Hashem and his family. In 2007, he married Chani Ozarowski and they settled in Washington Heights, NY, and later in Far Rockaway. In 2017, they fulfilled their dream of making aliyah to Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. Four years later, Yosef was diagnosed with cancer, a challenge he met with faith and positivity until he passed away at the age of thirty-eight in January 2023. He is survived by his beloved family: his wife Chani and their three children, Emuna, Serach, and Nechama.
